About our camp
Camp Chipinaw, located in the Catskill Mountains, originally was built for boys in 1926. Along with rich history and traditions, it offers modern facilities and “a summer of fun, friends, sports, arts, and adventures”. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 7-16.
Each cabin provides comforts of home - hot and cold running water, electrical outlets, storage for personal belongings - and houses 6-10 campers and 2 counselors. A doctor, eight nurses and a pediatric nurse serve the camp for any medical assistance for 24 hours.
Campers should always find something that suits their taste as meals are served with salad, bread, pasta and potato bars. Fruits are available at lunch and dinner. Campers’ and staff’s favorites, cookies and deserts are baked in the camp.
Camp programs & activities
All of the age groups take part in both scheduled and elective activities. During scheduled activities campers develop their skills in team sports and watersports. Fun and learning continues with electives such as waterfront activities, horseback riding, adventure, computer arts, circus, performing and visual arts and more. The groups are not too large so that coaches can dedicate enough time and attention to each camper. One-on-one instruction is also available for swimming and tennis.
