About our camp
New York's "original" theater camp, Camp Broadway's mission is to make theatre arts an accessible and relevant vehicle for creative children to build confidence, hone presentation skills, and discover their unique talents at every stage of their lives.
Mainstage - Ages 10 +
MAINSTAGE is the destination where musical theater-loving kids learn the true meaning of Broadway: working as an ensemble to stage a theatrical production, collaborating, performing for a live audience on a New York Stage, and making lifelong friends. Students will receive 40-Hours of instruction in vocal technique, movement, and performance taught by theater professionals, as well as a masterclass by a guest artist. They will also take a trip to New York's theater district to see a Broadway show. Finally, students will perform songs and scenes from a classic Broadway show on a New York stage.
Shining Stars - Ages 7 - 9
Shining Stars is a 5-day camp (M-F, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) that promotes confidence and collaboration skills in young children while a team of trained theatre professionals lead classes in singing, movement, storytelling and scenic/costume design. The Shining Stars ensemble culminates the week with the Family Finale Showcase, their musical presentation of songs and scenes from a featured musical show. Shining Stars starts budding performers on a lifelong path of art appreciation through creative group play in a fun and supportive environment. By their final bow, every Shining Star begins to understand what it means to be a great performer—on stage and off.
Registration is open now. Our New York program is one week only - July 8 - 12, 2024.
