About our camp
Although WeHaKee Camp for Girls is owned by a Catholic order of Sisters and has Catholic principles at its foundation, it welcomes anyone regardless of their faith, religious background, nationality, race, sexual orientation or disability. At WeHaKee, every girl gets a chance to “strengthen her relationship with God, self, others and nature.”
Being accredited by the American Camp Association, WeHaKee Camp follows more than 300 guidelines in program design, health, human resources, food, transportation and a vast number of other areas of camp operation.
Professional staff and the leadership team with over five decades of experience in youth development help girls to find their true self, build problem-solving skills, discover their talents, excel at activities they love, and appreciate nature.
Above all, campers make friends and have fun in a caring, inclusive and safe environment.
Camp programs & activities
At WeHaKee girls are encouraged to be part of as many activities as possible. For this, they need to “get creative, be active and make a splash”. Creative skills are developed through painting and sketching, arts and crafts, photography, drama, instrumental and vocal music, knitting, etc. Physical strength is enhanced in horseback riding, overnight camping trips, archery, geocaching, gymnastics, biking, volleyball, and tennis. Finally, girls can take part in waterskiing, swimming, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, tubing, stand-up paddling and other waterfront activities.
