About our camp
Camp Kodiak welcomes boys and girls with and without learning disabilities: autism, Asperger syndrome, NLD, ADHD. Campers, who are between 6-18 years old, enjoy summer camp activities in a supportive, non-competitive environment. The camper-staff ratio is kept to minimum, one staff member for every two campers. Each cabin houses 9 kids who live with three counselors.
The camp was established in 1991 by David Stoch who believed that when you take children out into a fulfilling environment, they show many talents and abilities that lie hidden in the walls of traditional classrooms.
Camp Kodiak is located in Perry Sound, Ontario, Canada and is open to campers from Canada, the USA and around the world. They offer 3-, 4- and 7-week sessions to give campers enough time for socializing, making friends and learning new skills.
A wide range of dietary needs are met here. Everyone is served three meals and two snacks a day which are low in sugar and additives. Kids who are intolerant to lactose, gluten, or prefer vegetarian/vegan food, are treated with appropriate options.
